T & C Framing

AGGroup found that the main support wall for the house was built very poorly with randomly spaced 2x4's, some not even holding up anything. It was suggested by the contractor to upgrade this wall to 2x6 framing. The local building inspector who attended also confirmed the unsafe nature of the existing wall and confirmed a 2x6 wall was in order. Once again you see that AGGroup always uses cross bracing in any basement renovation to maximize the rigidity of the framed wall. I have installed new fiberglass bat insulation along with 6ml vapor barrier. I also installed resilient channel to reduce noise transmission.
