This basement renovation was conceived as a result of the need for in-law apartment. Karen’s mother was going to be moving into the basement and mom wanted a small kitchen with only the one upper cabinet which held the fan for the stove. The cabinets were Mills Pride (build your own) from Home Depot which kept the costs down.
